Energy healing sessions

The Reiki method is not only for curing illness. Its true purpose is to correct the heart-mind, keep the body fit, and lead a happy life using the spiritual capabilities human beings were endowed with since birth.
~ From the memorial stone of Mikao Usui, founder of the Usui System of Reiki Healing

Client Experiences

“Never have I felt so safe and cared for. Reiki with Marti was a wonderful experience with a very calm and experienced guide.”

— SK

“I loved Reiki with Marti! It was my first experience with Reiki and I felt calm and safe - but also other sensations and emotions as Marti worked. At the end of the session, Marti went through all she had sensed during our session and what it meant. I was fascinated by the colors she saw and their meanings, how she felt sunshine and saw butterflies around my head, and where she felt I was blocked and needed to be less guarded with my emotions. If you're interested in Reiki definitely work with Marti. You won't regret it!”

— CD

“Marti definitely has a gift for perceiving energy and working with my Chakras during our sessions. I always feel so grounded and clear after receiving reiki from her; she is wonderful! If you're looking for a healer, Marti is your gal!.”

  • What is Reiki?

Reiki has existed for quite some time, as its roots can be traced back to before Buddha and Jesus. This energetic healing modality was passed down through word of mouth and was eventually lost. But in 1865, a Buddhist monk born in Japan, Mikao Usui, re-channeled the Reiki technique for healing, stress reduction, and relaxation.

Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen life-force energy flows through all of us, and if one's life-force energy is low, then that person is more likely to get sick or feel stress. If that energy is high, he/she/they are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki came to the United States through Mrs. Takata, a Hawaiian native, who was healed through Reiki at a Japanese hospital in the 1930s and consequently learned the practice for herself and began sharing it with others.

  • What to expect in a session

Reiki is a touch therapy, meaning the practitioner’s hands make contact with the recipient’s body. The touch is very light and sometimes will be fully off the body, with the practitioner's hands held over a series of locations on the body. You’ll rest on a massage table, fully clothed. You may lie on your back or stomach, or any other position needed to be comfortable. Expect dim lights and soothing music. Scented oils or sound therapies may be used to enhance the session.

Sometimes the experience of Reiki is dramatic, while for other people, the session may be uneventful, although they feel better afterward. People often feel heat in the practitioner's hands or cascading waves of energy through the body. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.

Meet Marti

Hello! I am so honored to share Reiki with you! Since childhood, I’ve known I was an empath with strong intuition. Now I am able to use those gifts to bring healing energy to my clients' hearts, minds, bodies, and souls through Reiki. I have used Reiki, crystals, essential oils, yoga, traditional therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, meditation, and breathwork throughout my life to connect to my highest self and my spirit guides, and my hope is that my Reiki clients are empowered to connect with their higher selves as well. I became a Reiki Master in 2021.

I customize each session based on my client's needs and where the Reiki energy leads me, and I often receive intuitive messages for my clients. My desire is to open the hearts of those I work with by using Reiki to show how we are all self-healers -- the answers are inside of all of us!

I work out of the beautiful and nurturing Be Free Healing Center in Fort Collins, Colorado, and I do distance/virtual sessions, too!
